about richard domar
In 1972 I discovered Northern Soul at the 'Catacombs'.
In 1974 I began collecting Northern Soul records.
I went to the 'Torch' and 'Wigan Casino' - My collection grew. I loved the music...
Then Wigan Casino closed and 'Northern' went 'underground'... Records became '60s Newies', 'Beat Ballads', 'Xover', etc. I loved it...
In 1987, I became a fulltime mail order record dealer, specalising in Northern Soul.
I produced my own Soul 'fanzine' that ran for 7 issues.
Then, on a yearly basis, I issued a mail order sales catalogue.
Business has been O.K. Some years good. Some years bad.
In mid 2004 I considered retirement, but in late 2005, I decided to continue! So, it's business 'as usual' with this site from 2006.
Northern Soul will never die. I still love the music...
